Remembrance

On August 20th 1944 we lost Rodney Joseph Best, a private in the US military who gave his life to protect our country and was buried in Normandy American Cemetery and Memorial.

Eulogy

A World War II veteran who made the ultimate sacrifice for his country. We bid farewell to a remarkable man who lived in Beaver, Pennsylvania, alongside his three brothers and sister, and who courageously fought on the beaches of Normandy. This eulogy serves as a tribute to his indomitable spirit, unwavering dedication, and the lasting impact he made on the lives of those around him.

We can only imagine the horrors he witnessed and the sacrifices he made during those long and treacherous days. The trials of war undoubtedly left an indelible mark on his soul, but he never wavered in his determination to protect his comrades and ensure the triumph of justice. His unwavering courage in the face of adversity embodies the true spirit of a hero.
