Over the past few months this project has helped me understand impacts or war on individuals or family. Realizing that these sacrifices from people close to me helps me stay free, helps me to appreciate the things I take for granted in America.

If i was able to speak to Rodney myself, I would first thank him for everything he sacrificed for this country and then I would ask him how he feels knowing that his contributions helped save the freed of Europe and north America from the Nazis.

I found ancestry.com was a very useful tool in assisting my research due to its variety of records such as high school yearbooks and US cencus's.

This project definitely redefines the word gratitude in my head because i have so much more respect and gratitude for those fallen soldiers in WW2.
